FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the SkilledCreatives model: contractual exclusivity, how hiring works, what it costs, and what happens when things change.
Is my hire really exclusive to my business?
Yes. Exclusivity is written into the employment contract: your professional works full-time for your company and no one else. They never split their week across clients.
Who actually employs my hire?
SkilledCreatives does. We issue the employment contract and run payroll, statutory contributions, and benefits. You direct the day-to-day work; we carry the employer obligations.
How does the hiring process work?
You brief the role, we headhunt and vet candidates (skills assessment, behavioral interview, background check), you interview a shortlist and approve the hire, we employ them, and we stay involved after they start.
What if none of the shortlisted candidates fit?
We go back to sourcing with your feedback — you are never obliged to pick from a shortlist. You only proceed when you have found someone you actually want.
What if it stops working out after the hire starts?
We work with you to fix it: extra support, adjusting the role, or lining up a replacement. There is no long-term lock-in holding you to a placement that is not working.
How much does it cost?
One monthly rate per professional, covering their full-time work, employment, and our support. The rate depends on role and seniority, and you get the exact figure in writing before anyone is interviewed. There is no recruitment fee to get started.
Where is the talent from?
Our deepest bench is in the Philippines, a market we have been recruiting in for years, and we recruit wherever the best remote talent lives. Every candidate passes the same vetting regardless of location.
Can my hire work my time zone?
Yes. Working hours are agreed as part of the role brief — full overlap with UK, US, Australian, or Singapore hours is standard practice, not an exception.
How is my company data protected?
Your hire works inside your systems under access you grant and can revoke. Confidentiality is part of their employment contract, we support client NDAs, and exclusivity means your data is never handled by someone serving other clients.
Can I start with one hire and build a team later?
That is the intended path. Start with the role you need most; when you are ready, we build around that person — a second specialist, a pod, or a whole department, each hire on the same exclusive terms.
What roles do you place?
Any role that can be done well remotely: accounting and bookkeeping, virtual and executive assistance, design, content, digital marketing, customer support, operations, AI training and automation, healthcare and legal admin, and data analysis. The only exceptions are software development and IT roles, which we deliberately do not place.
Do I need to handle any employment paperwork?
No. Contracts, payroll, benefits, and compliance sit with us as the employer. Your side is a straightforward service agreement with SkilledCreatives.
Who is SkilledCreatives?
SkilledCreatives Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore-registered dedicated remote staffing company with creative-industry roots. We place vetted, exclusively-dedicated remote professionals with small and mid-size businesses worldwide.
Which industries do you serve?
Any industry where the role is remote-capable. We run focused programs where demand is deepest — hospitality, e-commerce, agencies, professional services, real estate, and trades — but the model works the same everywhere: you pick the person, they learn your business.
Can I hire a whole team at once?
Yes. Many clients start with one hire, but we also build pods and full departments in one engagement — each person individually interviewed, approved by you, and contractually exclusive to your business.
Can my hire work evenings, weekends, or shifts?
Yes. Working hours are agreed in the role brief, including evening or weekend coverage where the business needs it — common for hospitality, e-commerce, and support roles.
How is this different from Upwork or Fiverr?
Marketplaces connect you with freelancers who juggle multiple clients and can leave any time. We recruit against your brief, vet formally, employ the person, and bind their time to you exclusively by contract — a staff member, not a gig.
How is this different from hiring through a BPO?
A BPO sells a managed service delivered by its own rotating staff. We place a named professional you chose, who works only for you, under your direction. See the full comparison on our dedicated vs. alternatives page.
